Ratings We will recommend whether a bond rating should be applied for from one or more of the three major rating services: Moody's Investors Service, Standard & Poor's, and Fitch Ratings and whether a meeting with the rating agency(ies) is advisable, and if it is, we will plan and coordinate the presentation. Regardless of whether there is a personal meeting, we will send the issuer's financial information and the printed Preliminary Official Statement to the rating agency(ies) together with our covering letter which we use as a form of rating presentation -- the reader is our captive audience allowing us to reinforce the positive aspects of the financing plan and the credit. If it appears that the sale of the bonds will benefit from the use of municipal bond insurance, we will provide the necessary information to the six Aaa/AAA municipal bond insurers in connection with qualifying the bonds for insurance.
